    Can I use my account on more than one computer?

    No. An account is specific to the desktop or laptop it is run on, so it cannot be used on more than one computer. If you have more than one computer with data that you wish to backup then you must register for the backup service for each desktop or laptop.

     

    How do I get the backup software?

    You download the software installation program after selecting and registering for a backup plan. You must then install the software to backup your computer.

    If you need to recover an existing account, please login to Account Management.

     

    How do I register and activate my new account?

    When you complete the registration process, you will be given an account number and registration code. We recommend you print this information, because you will need the registration code to activate your account on your computer.

    Once you download the software installation program, you must install the software. You will use the registration code to complete the installation process. The registration code is for one-time use and will not work if you run the installation program on another computer. Each desktop or laptop requires its own backup account, and therefore its own account number and registration code.

     

    How do the service fees work?

    Credit card information is requested when you register for the service. Your credit card is charged monthly or annually (depending on your plan), on the anniversary day of your registration date. VISA, Master Card and American Express are accepted. To update your credit card information, login to Account Management and click Update Profile.

     

    Will I get a receipt when my credit card is charged?

    Yes. An email confirming the charge is sent to the email address we have on file for you. To verify or update your email address, login to Account Management and click Update Profile.

     

    What file types are backed up?

    By default, the online backup software backs up the files with the following extensions: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .mdb, .mdbx, .jpg, .url, .pdf, .eml, .htm, .html, .gif, .png, .pst, .wab, .dbx, .pub.

    The software does not back up operating system files, temporary files, or cache files. This leaves more storage space available for backing up data.

    To add files to your default backup set, on the Backup View tab, click to select the check box for the desired files or folders.

     

    How can I change my backup plan?

    To change your backup plan, login to Account Management and click Change Plan. Backup plan options will be displayed in the right pane. Simply select the backup plan that suits your needs and confirm your selection.
